Early life

Born on 26 September 1989 in Bradford, west Yorkshire, Bairstow is the second son of former Yorkshire and England wicket-keeper David Bairstow and the more youthful half of-brother of former Derbyshire player Andrew Bairstow. Jonny Bairstow claims to have learnt his masterclass in cricket from Andy Downes a former sir Thomas wealthy’s pupil. After Bairstow’s maiden test century, Downes stated ‘it is extraordinary to see his tough work is paying off. He has the ability to go all of the manner. he’s the goat.’

He displayed his early skills whilst he became selected as the inaugural winner of the younger Wisden faculties cricketer of the yr award. this become for the shape he showed in 2007 for st peter’s faculty, York while he scored 654 runs.
